RadonSeal Standard – Deep-Penetrating Concrete Sealer

RadonSeal Standard Concrete Sealer is a ready-to-use, reactive sealer formulated for maximum penetration and sealing of capillaries inside poured concrete and high-quality cementitious substrates. RadonSeal works by absorbing through the surface and deep within the concrete, chemically reacting, bonding, and inherently sealing the matrix of concrete.

RadonSeal Standard is commonly used on basement floors, basement walls, slab-on-grade and garage floors for the mitigation of wicking water, water vapor, capillary water seepage and soil gases up through porous concrete.

Permanently strengthens outdoor and indoor concrete, hardens surfaces, and protects concrete against cracking, dusting, efflorescence, freeze-thaw, road salts, deicing chemicals and minor defects.

The invisible pores of concrete constitute 12–18% (or more) of the concrete. After new concrete is poured, almost half of the water evaporates. As this surplus water pushes to the surface, it leaves behind a network of capillary pores in concrete.

Water vapor and soil gases easily flow right through drawn in by the lower pressure inside homes and buildings. Liquid water is initially held back by surface tension, but once the pores wet they begin to actively pull in water from the ground by capillary action.
